Frequently Asked Questions

                   FOR BEGINNER

This block contains information for those who are taking a lesson with an instructor for the first time.

If you book lesson in advance, please contact the instructor the day before the lesson. He’ll answer your questions!

It’s best to arrive early, and if this is your first time at this resort or in the mountains, there is snowfall, then add another 20-30 minutes to this time (Rosa Khutor, etc.), because you will need time to find the places you are interested in (car parking, time to take the Olimpia gondola lift (approx. 12 min) to Rosa Plato 1170m, find a rental, select equipment (take 20-30 min) and go to the ‘meeting point with the instructor’ at the ‘Berloga’.

And if you arrive in the morning during the ‘Ultra season’ (January, February and March holidays), then you will probably have to wait in line for the lift.

EXAMPLE (snowfall): I park in a distant free parking lot near My Russia.
You need to have a shovel in a car!
10 - 15 min. will be needed to clear the area of snow (if necessary)
15 - 20 min. - get to the lift
5 - 10 min. - buying a ski pass for the lift
0 - 30 min. - queue for the lift (‘Ultra season’)
12 min. - time to take the Olimpia gondola lift (approx. 12 min) to Rosa Plato 1170m

20 - 40 min. - selection of rental equipment and meeting with an instructor

On average, it takes approximately 90 minutes from the distant parking lot to the meeting with the instructor!

An alternative to avoid the queue, if you are by car, is to go to the parking lot of the Olympic Village of Rosa Plato 1170m. The turn there is located right behind the Alpika Resort!

Parking lots (nearest):

Rosa Plato, altitude 1170m.

Б4 - free parking in front of the barrier at the entrance to Rosa Plato (if there is a lot of snow, there may be a limited number of spaces). Walk up the hill for about 20 minutes. You can use the free shuttle from the AYS Design Hotel that goes to the ski lifts.
Р11 - paid parking right behind the barrier. Also walk uphill for 20 minutes. You can use the same shuttle at the AYS Design Hotel.

Р12 - paid parking closest to the ‘Berloga’. Walk just over 5 minutes.
